Getting Certified1) Application – Complete and submit your application online at by clicking here. The
application form includes details about your company, plant, products, and ingredients used. If

2) Application review - Once we have received your application, it is assigned to one of our
senior Rabbinic Coordinators who reviews the information and contacts your company to
arrange for an initial inspection visit.
3) Initial inspection – Your appointed Rabbinic Coordinator performs an initial inspection of
your facility. This enables him to evaluate the requirements for your product obtaining kosher
certification.
4) Secondary review - The Rabbinic Coordinator will consult with other senior COR directors
to determine the procedures needed to grant kosher certification and the appropriate fee
required.
5) Contract - After our review, COR will draft an agreement outlining the terms of certification.
This agreement will specify the requirements and obligations of both parties and will include a
list of approved products and ingredients.
6) Letter of kosher certification - Once your company has signed the agreement and returned
it with the applicable fee, an information package which contains a letter of kosher certification
will be sent to you. This letter lists all of your approved products which may bear a COR symbol.
7) Company listing - Kosher certified companies will be listed on our website which is used as a
resource by kosher consumers across Canada and beyond.
8) Plant inspections - Regular or periodic inspections of your company will be made by our field
representative in order to monitor compliance with the terms of our agreement.
