Please be advised that we have been finding an abundance of live red aphids in whole heads of romaine lettuce, as is evidenced in the picture below:

As such, we do not recommend using whole heads of romaine lettuce until further notice. Instead, you may use romaine hearts which are known to be less infested. Andy Boy is a recommended brand. The hearts of romaine must be washed and checked individually according to our policy which can be found at the following link:
