Yoshon Update #1

The Yoshon cutoff dates for the following products are as follows:
Robin Hood, Five Roses & Selections Flours
All Purpose Flour - retail & Costco pack
Cake and Pastry Flour only
1These numbers or lower are yoshon. Isolate the plant code from the full code that is printed on the bag and then find the year and date codes.
Flour - (COR 285) - Regular White Flour - Best Before 2021 OC 5 or earlier. Whole Wheat - Best Before 2021 AP 5 or earlier. Organic - still yoshon.
Any flour with a ‘PH ‘ in the code incl. Great Plains, Compliment and other brand names – If the number after PH in the code is ‘7’ a BB date of 2021 SE 15 or earlier. If the number is ’2’ a BB date of 2021 SE 29 or earlier.
Alternative coding; 0 259 7 or lower, 0 273 2 or lower.
Bakers Hood , Sunspun (COR323) - If the plant code is ‘MT’- a date code of 0-278 or lower. If the plant code is ‘SK’- a date code of 0-244 or lower.
No Name Flour - If the best before date includes “PFM” use the same code as COR 285 flour. If it is “PH” (0)7 or “PH” (0)2 use the codes noted above for “PH”. If it is “AD” a best before code of 2021 SE 22 or earlier. Whole Wheat flour - best before codes are 6 months earlier.
PC Flour - All Purpose flour - if the BB date includes “PFM” it will remain yoshon. Organic – is still yoshon.
Robin Hood - Old Mill Oats - date code of 0 250 or lower.
Quaker Oats (COR 112)
All products containing oats and/or oat bran - date code of 0907P0 or earlier.
Costco Pack – code of 0907 following the Best Before date. 5N0 is the year code and ignore other codes, i.e. 2021 SE 02 0915 5N9 0263.
Wheat Bran - still yoshon.
A.J. Pancake Mixes (all types) – date code of 1007P0 or earlier.
Cheerios (all types except Multigrain) - Best Before 25 OCT 2021 or earlier.
Multigrain Cheerios – Best Before 16 AUG 2021 or earlier.
Nature Valley Granola bars – Best Before 20 SE 2021 CO plant only.
Fibre 1 cereal is always yoshon.
Weetabix (regular and organic) – are still yoshon.
Alpen - is still yoshon.
Grain Shop High Fibre Crisp - is still yoshon.
Post Cereals (COR 114) - Shredded Wheat, Spoon Size Shredded Wheat - Regular, Honey Toasted, Cinnamon and Wheat ‘n Bran, Light Wheat Squares are always yoshon.
Shreddies - Regular, Honey, and Maple flavours, Dark Wheat Squares and 100% Bran - arestill yoshon.
Kellogg Canada (COR 246)
All Bran, Raisin Bran, Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes, Honeynut Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies and Special K - products are still yoshon.
Corn Pops - are yoshon (oat flour is not a yoshon concern).
Froot Loops (Canadian only) – are still yoshon.
Presidents Choice (COR 1)
Fruity O’s - Best Before 07 OC 2021.
Toasted Oats O’s, Honey Nut Oats O’s - Best Before 13 AU 2021.
Crunchy Maple Almond, Mixed Berry or Cranberry Almond – is still yoshon.
Loads of Raisins Raisin Bran, Woven Wheat Squares, Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes - are still yoshon
PC Blue Menu (COR 1)
Fibre First, Bran Flakes and Fibre Plus Bran Flakes - are still yoshon.
Crunchy Whole Grain with Almond - Best Before 29 AU 2021.
Protein Whole Grain with Strawberries - still yoshon.
PC Organics (COR 1) - Wheat Squares and Raisin Bran - still yoshon.
Barley - chodosh may be in the stores.
Kolbo - has yoshon barley and flour.
Kosher City -flour and barley repacked by Kosher City is currently yoshon.
Savours (Fresh Corner) - has yoshon flour.
PC Blue Menu Barley - Best Before 2022 SEP 7 (2510) or earlier.
Johnvince / Quik Kook - Pearl & Pot barley are still yoshon.
NuPak Barley - Barley with a BB date of 2022 AUG 28 or later may be chodosh.
Primo, COR 78 – will remain yoshon until Jan 2021.
Italpasta - will remain yoshon at least until the end of Oct 2020.
All other pasta with a COR 136 - use the same codes as Italpasta.
Unico - use same coding as for Primo.
PC/No Name Pasta (COR 1) - use same codes as Italpasta.
Ronzoni (Catelli & Lancia) (COR 235) - Regular (white) pasta - BB code of Oct 12 23 or earlier. Smart, Whole Wheat, Multigrain, Egg and Vegetable pasta - BB code of Oct 12 22 or earlier. Bistro Sundried tomato and basil and Spinach/Garlic Fettucine - BB code of Apr 12 22.
Catelli (with an MK) – use same codes as Grisspasta.
Grisspasta - will remain yoshon at least until the end of Oct 2020.
Ferenez /Mama (MK) - will remain yoshon.
Pita Bros Pita - will remain yoshon.
Wraps (COR 722)- If there is an ‘S’ in the code – Regular (white flour) 0289 or lower, whole wheat is still yoshon. If there is a ‘W’ in the code, Regular (white flour) 0267 or lower, whole wheat is still yoshon.
Lenchner’s - will remain yoshon.
Uri Pastries - will remain yoshon.
Maison Puff Pastry (COR 571) - will remain yoshon.
